What are your upcoming titles?Upcoming titles will be on posted our websites as well as on our social media channels shortly before release.

How do you decide which films get chosen for the Mawu Films label?The rare films from Africa and Latin America that are chosen for the label are decided by the Company Director. All the films that will be released are films that the Company Director has seen and considers of great importance.

How do you decide on the special features?The specials are decided upon what material is available to the film.

Are all the films you release presented in their original theatrical aspect ratio?Yes, all the film releases are presented in their original theatrical aspect ratio.

Are your titles region coded?No.

Do the discs you release include English language subtitles?Mawu Films will include optional English language subtitles on all its releases.

Do your discs include subtitles in other languages?Where we can, other international languages will be included as subtitles. Please see product page for further details.

Do your discs include closed captions or SDH (subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing)?Yes, some of our discs will include subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing.

How can I suggest a title?You can suggest a title by contacting us at info@mawufilms.com.

Do you sell your discs outside Europe and the UK?Currently we only distribute to Europe and the UK.

Whom do I contact if I have a problem with my Blu-ray packaging?If you have received an item that has arrived in an unsatisfactory condition, please send photographs of the damage to info@mawufilms.com. We will endeavour to help you within 48 hours.

Whom do I contact if I have a technical issue with my Blu-ay disc?Please contact Mawu Films a soon as you become aware of any problem. We might ask you to record a short video demonstrating the technical issue you are experiencing. We will investigate, but note, that any faults must be raised with Mawu Films within the first 6 months after your purchase on the website.

Do you have a loyalty program for customers who buy directly from your website?At this moment in time, we do not provide a loyalty program.

What payment methods do you accept?We take payments via PayPal. You can do this via your PayPal Account or via many common debit and credit cards. A PayPal account is not required to purchase our products.

Is it safe to use my credit card on your website?Yes, it is safe to use your credit card. All websites created with Wix come with HTTPS security protocol and are validated with an SSL certificate. You can see that the Mawu Films website site has an SSL certificate as its URL starts with https:// instead of http:// or there is a lock symbol next to your site URL.

How do I know if my order has been shipped?We will send you a shipping email confirming that your purchase has been sent.

What does it mean when a title is “Out of Print”?This means the Limited Edition has sold out or the licensing on the film has come to an end and you will not be able to purchase it from the website

Why are you not producing DVDs?We believe that in order to get the best visual experience out of the restored titles is essential to release to the films in a Blu-ray format.

Do all your titles have booklets?Yes, all of the Limited Edition Blu-ray releases will include a booklet. However, the Standard Edition will not.

Do all your titles have posters?Yes, all of the Limited Edition Blu-ray releases will contain a copy of the original poster. However, the Standard Edition will not.

I have made a mistake, can you help?"If you have made a mistake with your order you can clear in your basket. If the order has already gone through contact Mawu Films at info@mawufilms.com where we will assist you in your order problem.

Can I pre-order various titles in one order?No, Mawu Films are currently only releasing one film every couple of months to begin with. The gap between the titles means that there will been no opportunity to pre-order various titles at once.

Can I add items to my order?No, once you have placed your order, it is impossible to alter it.

Can I combine orders?No, once the order is processed you cannot combine orders.

Can I order bulk quantities of your titles?Yes, you can bulk order any of our titles. However, Mawu Films does not offer discount on bulk orders. Contact us if you would like to become a stockist or reseller.

When will payment be taken for my order?As all payments are processed via PayPal the money will be taken straight away.

How do I cancel an order?Customers can cancel orders from their account before they are transferred to the distribution centre but there is a short window on this. If you are unable to cancel your order via your account, then please contact info@mawufilms.com and we will endeavour to cancel your order as soon as possible, although remember there is no guarantee that Mawu Films will be able to do this in time. If the status in your account reads 'Dispatched' or 'Part Dispatched' it will not be possible to cancel your order. Any orders that have a 'Awaiting Dispatch' status may still be able to be cancelled by contacting info@mawufilms.com but they are most likely being prepared for shipping. All payments received from the customer will be fully refunded upon any successful cancellation. An email notifying that your order has been cancelled will be sent out to you.

How do I cancel a pre-order?Customers can cancel pre-orders from within their account.

What is your returns policy?If the item(s) in your order arrives damaged in transit or does not match the item(s) you placed in an order, you may return the item(s) to us within 14 days after delivery.
